Welcome to Courage Schools!
We are glad you are interested in learning more about the unique experience we are developing for students who have language based learning difference. As an educator with over twenty five years of experience working in both public and independent school settings, I am excited to introduce you to a school environment that has been intentionally developed to celebrate the gifts students with language based learning differences bring to the classroom. These students are gifted. They are more than their language diagnosis. They are creative, analytical, visual learners who think outside the box. They see the world in a different way that is unique and should be celebrated and enriched with a minds on, hands on multi-sensory approach.
At the Courage Schools, we take an approach that encourages students to leverage their strengths in visual and spatial understanding while supporting language development using structured literacy. It is this integrated model that prepares students to have the courage to:
